Development objectives

Sonic Mirror Kft., as the legal successor to Bony-V, manufactures rear-view mirrors and mirror heaters for commercial vehicles, with exports accounting for the majority of its revenue. In April 2022, the production hall in Inárcs was destroyed by fire along with the machinery inside.

The project aims to increase production capacity and technological standards by rebuilding the production hall, acquiring modern manufacturing equipment and introducing digital production monitoring. The development will improve production efficiency, reduce the scrap rate, shorten order fulfilment times and enable the manufacture of new product series for the OEM and aftermarket sectors.

Project scope

The development includes the following at the Inárcs site:

  • new injection moulds for manufacturing mirror housings and blind-spot mirror inserts;
  • contour-cutting machines for convex mirrors, a conveyor-based mirror washing line, an acid-alkali etching line and laser circuit manufacturing equipment;
  • automatic product extraction robots and semi-automatic riveting machines;
  • a photovoltaic system with 132 solar panels rated at 510 W each and inverters with a total capacity of 50 kW;
  • construction of a new production hall and expansion of staff facilities, together with the associated building services, utility, lighting and security improvements;
  • IT development: real-time monitoring of production and machinery, enterprise and production management systems, intangible assets and cloud-based business services.
